About the Authors
Karen Agro is a 1989 (BScPhm) and 1996 (PharmD) graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. She commenced her career in community pharmacy before moving into the pharmaceutical industry. In industry, she worked in a number of different capacities including Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Research and Manager of a Medical Services Department. Karen is currently a Director and consultant at Agro Health Associates Inc.
Christine Folia graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto in 1994 (BScPhm) and 1996 (Pharm D). She practiced as a hospital pharmacist in Hamilton, Ontario in a variety of clinical areas including psychiatry, pediatrics, pediatric oncology, emergency medicine and drug information. Christine continues to practice part time at the Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation and is a consultant at Agro Health Associates Inc.
Paul Agro, BScPhm is a pharmacy graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. He practiced community pharmacy in the Hamilton and Burlington, Ontario area for approximately 15 years before moving to the pharmaceutical industry. Paul worked in a number of different capacities and job responsibilities including Medical Information, Sales and Marketing and finally Government Affairs and Market Access. Agro Health Associates Inc provides a wide range of consulting services to the pharmaceutical and health care industry. Some of their services include developing live and home study continuing education programs in print and internet-based formats, writing provincial formulary submissions and writing medical/marketing documents.

Raymond Gottschalk, MB, ChB, FRCP(C) is the Director of the Sleep Laboratory and the Asthma and Respiratory Health Centre of Hamiton, Ontario. Dr. Gottschalk has held a number of academic appointments at both the University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta and McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. Dr. Gottschalk is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. He is currently a member of many respiratory societies and associations including the Ontario Lung Association, and a former member of the Alberta Lung Association and the Alberta Asthma Network. Dr. Gottschalk has published many scientific articles in the area of respiratory medicine.
Charles D Bayliff, BScPhm (Toronto), PharmD (Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science) is Pharmaceutical Care Coordinator at the London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario. Dr. Bayliff is a Lecturer at the School of Nursing, University of Western Ontario and Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. He is also a Clinical Pharmacist in Respirology and Thoracic Surgery at the London Health Sciences Centre. His research projects include studies on the use of various pharmacologic agents in patients with obstructive airways diseases and he has published several studies and scientific papers in the area.
